In 2013 Kirsti Ashworth, Oliver Wild and I published a paper in Nature Climate Change on the detrimental effects of biofuel cultivation on ground level ozone and the effects this might have on crop yields and human mortality (Impacts of biofuel cultivation on mortality and crop yields (2013) K Ashworth, O. Wild and C.N. Hewitt, Nature Climate Change, 3, 492 - 496 doi: 10.1038/nclimate1788).
