Learning from zoos – how our environment can influence our health

Press/Media: Research

Description

The title of my latest article published at The Conversation, covers the subject of design for health. It argues that the way we design the environment we live in, ultimately designs our behaviour. Therefore before we start fat shaming, let’s take a look at urban design. If we want to be a nation of lean, mean and healthy citizens we need to learn from zoos and the animals that live in them. And we need to embrace playfulness and enjoy the place where we live. That way, we can tackle life with a hop, skip and a jump.
