Majority of architects now using AI but fears over imitation are rising

Press/Media: Research

Description

The number of architects using AI has risen to 59 per cent, compared with 41 per cent last year, but views on the technology remain divided, a new RIBA report has found

The survey, published yesterday (26 June), is the second of its kind by RIBA. It suggests architects are optimistic that AI might help the industry reach net zero targets, but are increasingly concerned it will increase the risk of imitation.

Well over half of architects surveyed, 65 per cent, think AI will have an increasingly positive effect on productivity in the industry, and the same number also feel that the technology will allow the sector to reach net zero targets.
