Our need to talk about power & knowledge in evaluation & policy cultures

Short article written for "Politics and Ideas" - a ThinkNet of researchers and practitioners working in developing countries and emerging economies in the global south. The article questions the growing landscape of evalaution knowledge and data, by suggesting knowledge inequalities between social development stakeholders represent inequalities in power relations, voice and participation. The article concludes that fully acknowledging this problem is a pre-requisite for alternative forms of evaluation, engagement and stakeholder bridge building.
