Professor Sugarman delivered a Plenary Lecture at the British Legal History Conference, University of Cambridge, 15 July 2011.  His lecture was entitled, “A.W.B. Simpson in Context: The Life of Brian”. Material deriving from this lecture has subsequently been published as: "Brian Simpson's Approach to Legal Scholarship and the Significance of Reflections on The Concept of Law”, (2012) 3 (2) Transnational Legal Theory (Oxford: Hart Publication) 112-126.
