Ralph Gibson Bursary announced by the Society for the Study of French History

The Society for the Study of French History announces the annual Ralph Gibson Bursary of £2000 to be awarded to a final-year PhD student working on a thesis in French history at a UK or Irish university.

Ralph Gibson taught in the Department of History at Lancaster University until his death in 1995. His works include A Social History of French Catholicism, 1789-1914 (Routledge, 1989).
