A Seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance Director (FD) with a pedigree of strategic, operational, corporate and international roles in leading blue-chip UK and USA organisations; TI plc, GE (USA), Meggitt plc, GEC Marconi, Invensys, Dyson Group plc, PWC.

As CFO of TI Automotive, led the £1billion management buy-out, and was credited with inventing the construct of its unique capital structure. This business of £2billion revenues employed 22,000 people in 28 countries. Responsible for all aspects of finance, IT, treasury, investor relations, funding, tax, acquisitions, divestments, and served as a main board director for 11 years. Led the successful sale of the business to a consortium of investors.

Sector expertise in Manufacturing, Engineering, Housing, Regulation, Charities, Professional bodies, Consultancy, Communications, Non-Profit, Government, Education, Healthcare.

Recent experience in the Non-Profit sectors: as CFO of the British Council led a number of international change programmes; as CFO of the Victim Support charity led a financial repositioning of the business model; as CFO at Ofcom led the implementation of a corporate services strategy and investment plan; as Executive Director at Homes England led a major transformation of the business development, economics and strategy directorate.

Former Chief Executive of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI); active in leading its research programmes, speaking, writing and presenting in practitioners’ aspects of management and leadership including within Government and the media.

Non Executive Directorships, Board positions, Audit committee chair roles - in the NHS, the University sector, CMI, Government dept of BEIS, and a number of plcs.

Advisor and consultant to a variety of clients in several sectors.
