Research overview

My research focuses on exploring and understanding experiences of harm, danger and safety within criminal exploitation and illicit drug markets, particularly 'County Lines' operations. I'm interested in exploring the safety strategies adopted by vulnerable people, their families and professionals while navigating criminal exploitation. I'm also seeking to understand how the individual actors themselves, as well as society more generally, make sense of the conflicting and complicated issues of exploitation, victimisation and offending.
