I currently work in a small behaviour unit in a large secondary school in the North East of England, for children who require alternative education. I have worked within an educational setting for the last 10 years. My teaching capacity has led me to teach from foundation to A-level within various educational establishments. I completed my Batchelor and Master Degrees at Teesside University in Psychology & Counselling and health Psychology respectively.

Thesis Title

A Phenomenological Study of Secondary Teachers: their perceptions of resilience and its impact on their working environment

Thesis Outline

My research is a qualitative study exploring secondary school teachers' perceptions of their resilience in their working environment using an integration of Thematic and Narrative analysis to interpret the data. Accomplished by investigating the practices and the perceptions teachers hold regarding their own resilience alongside what they suggest are some of the contributing factors that can effect resilience.
