Samin Chowdhury is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and General Practice trainee at Lancaster University. He is currently undertaking an MSc in Clinical Research at Lancaster University. His main research interests are improving the quality of routinely collected health data to improve clinical outcomes in patients with kidney disease. He is also interested in investigating the impacts of multimorbidity on clinical outcomes in patients with chronic kidney disease. His MSc dissertation involves systematically reviewing the use and quality of routinely collected primary care data in kidney disease outcome research in the UK. 

He completed an MSc in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research at King's College London in 2017, where he worked under the supervision of Dr Rafael T.M. de Rosales to test the efficacy of bisphosphonate molecules as imaging agents to detect vascular calcification and compare its efficacy with the current clinical radiotracer, fluorine-18-sodium fluoride (¹⁸F-NaF).
