I have worked in Scientific Laboratories since 1971 starting with the National Blood Service. I then worked as a School Chemistry Technician before joining the University in 2001. As Laboratory Superintendent and Area Safety Officer my key responsibilities are to ensure technical support and facilitate the smooth running of the Department on a daily basis. A key role is Health and Safety ensuring a safe working environment for staff and students including varied fieldwork activities.
