The Authors and the World research hub was created by Rebecca Braun as part of the AHRC-funded project "The Author and the world: New interdisciplinary approaches to authorship" and I joined it in September 2015. The hub continues to exist and expand its activity beyond the scope of the initial bid, investigating the role of the (literary) author and the ways in which authors can influence the world and society within the changing conditions of writing, publication, and reading. My main activity within the hub revolves around the transformations induced by digital technologies in the work of authors, their role in society, and the way in which they are perceived.
