This funded project, which forms part of the TRANSFORM programme in partnership with the British Council and the Government of Sri Lanka, focuses on English language assessment in Sri Lanka. The study envisages a variety of research outcomes and will involve an investigation of the role of English in the workplace in Sri Lanka and of current English language assessment practices in Sri Lankan secondary education. It will also include language assessment literacy development work and capacity building among key stakeholders.
