This is a project for the translation of the classic work by Ernst Junger on the condition of work in the 20th Century. Published in 1932, on the eve of the Nazi accession to power in Germany, Junger's piece towers above all other essays on work in the 20th Century and engages directly with Marx and Nietzsche on the most critical dimension of modernity: work.

The project is not merely the translation of Junger's text, but also the preparation and publication of a companion critical apparatus as a separate volume.
