Description

To draw together social science studies and findings about technological and spatial shifts which project the home as a site of healthcare provision for older people To collate what is known about how these shifts are perceived by patients and in particular the roles of women informal and formal carers are affected To share this body of knowledge with the policy, practice and user communities

This is our work package within a Specific Support Action under FP6 entitled MEDUSE: Governance Health & Medicine. Opening Dialogue Between Social Scientists and Users. It is run from Paris by Madeleine Akrich and Vololona Rabeharisoa of the Centre de Sociologie de l'Innovation (CSI) at the Ecole des Mines. The other partners are Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, France); the University of Coimbra, Portugal, the Centre for Technology Innovation and Culture (TIK Oslo) and the University of Liege.
