Pedagogy for Transformational PGT Professional Development

This scholarship project directly addresses the arising need to establish a pedagogical approach for integrating Sustainability and Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) into the curriculum. Careers provision has typically focused on transactional careers advice, aiming to secure a job. However, other practices have been introduced under the umbrella of Professional Development, addressing the development of personal capabilities underpinning learners’ readiness for lifelong learning and responsible leadership/management. The project’s objective is to investigate the most effective approaches to pedagogy that allow learners to benefit from the value of professional development as a core component of their university study. The aim is to develop a framework for postgraduate learners that is authentic, relevant and develops student commitment to the global sustainability agenda.
