Royal Scottish Academy William Littlejohn Award Project

Project: Research

Description

Home Soil is a project supported By the Royal Scottish Academy through the William Littlejohn Award 2024. The project explores ways to extend my research around what emerges from glacial melt using the negative space of print. The project develops research around the absent presence of the stencil to articulate the balance of emergence/loss in glacial melt, using screenrprint with using inks made from glacial flour gathered from post glacial sites in Switzerland and Scotland. This practical research project was carried out over 9 months at Glasgow Print Studio as a seed project to test the technology and the premises for future research.
