TEA Talks | Festival of Social Sciences | ESRC

Project: Research

Description

The School of Architecture invite you to join us for TEA talks (Technology, Environment and Architecture). We will discuss the future of our urban environments and share with you some of the work that our researchers have been doing locally, nationally and globally towards Urban Futures.

Cities are vibrant places designed, built and inhabited by humans. In 2008, the urban population became more numerous than rural population and, by 2050, it is expected that two-thirds of the world population will be living in urban areas. The United Nations developed a new urban agenda that seeks to offer national and local guidelines on the growth and development of cities.

How can we achieve UN Sustainable Goals and make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable? We invite you to join the conversation, come along for the morning or afternoon or the full day to learn from each other’s experiences and begin the journey to towards an integrated approach to creating our Urban Futures.
