A Gilbert website is being developed with the aim of providing in one site comprehensive resources and links concerning William Gilbert (1544-1603) and Gilbert-related research. The content is collated by Dr Stephen Pumfrey, the leading expert on Gilbert and author of Latitude and the Magnetic Earth (Cambridge: Icon Books, 2002), and Dr Sarah Rose.

It goes online on 30th November, 2011, the anniversary of Gilbert's death.
