1. Aim
The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) wanted to discuss the findings of its research on children and young people’s (CYP) perceptions and attitudes to vaccines with practitioners. This research is available on the RSPH website.
The aim was to listen to practitioners and gather their thoughts on how vaccines help reduce health inequalities and better serve communities.
2. Presenters
On 20th of Sept 2023, RSPH hosted the online webinar “Children and Young People’s attitudes and experiences of vaccinations – turning evidence into practice”.
The webinar was hosted by William Roberts (RSPH CEO) and co-hosted by Dr Fernanda Aguilar Perez (RSPH policy and public affairs advisor). Panellists were:
- Dr Ned Naylor – NHS England Director of Strategy for Vaccinations and Screening
- Prof Dr Rachel Isba – Professor of Medicine at Lancaster University, NHS Consultant in Paediatric Public Health Medicine in the Northwest of England
- Anne-Marie Gallogly - School Nurse Team Leader in Stockport and Deputy Professional Officer for SAPHNA
