Special Interest Forum in Technology and Digital Innovation in palliative care
Activity: Talk or presentation types › Invited talk
I gave a presentation to the The All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, 'Technology and Palliative Care Research Specialist Interest Group' about our own work to develop a similiar UK 'Special Interest Forum in Technology and Digital Innovation' with the Association for Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Ireland.
Creating multi-professional networks of individuals interested in digital health and innovation in palliative care, is essential to harness the opportunities of these technologies and to address the challenges. Shifting healthcare from analogue to digital is a priority of the NHS 10 year plan. Therefore, personally I will be working collaboratively to conduct research, education and innovation with my partners: Lancaster University, Marie Curie UK, NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, Churchill Fellowship.
Our NEW Special Interest Forum (SIF) in Technology and Digital Innovation' is open to all with interest in digital health and innovation in palliative care, in the UK and Ireland. The new forum is co-led by me and Dr Suzanne Ford-Dunn
(Consultant in Palliative Medicine, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust and current Topol Digital Fellow).
