Amy Burgess wins Area Chair's Award at NRC conference

Amy Burgess recently presented a paper entitled 'The Discoursal Construction of Writer Identity Across Timescales in an Adult Literacy Class' at the annual meeting of the National Reading Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The paper was part of a symposium involving literacy researchers from two US universities. The symposium was one of 10 selected to receive an Area Chair's Award at the conference, selected from over 700 submissions. Anita Wilson from the LRC was the discussant for the symposium.
