The BBC have published a story about combining quantum information with classical, on conventional fibre-based networks. It discusses research from Toshiba, in Cambridge, and high-profile work that I collaborated in.

"The "uncrackable codes" made by exploiting the branch of physics called quantum mechanics have been sent down kilometres of standard broadband fibre."
