“Blade Runner” draws a dark picture of the future in which artificial humans mingle among biological ones. These replicants can be identified only with the aid of the Voight Kampff machine (↗ form 266, p. 36), which identifies absence of empathy as a tell-tale sign. This dystopia setin 2019 – now only two years away – delivered the material for a speculative design project by the Lancaster University.
