The Feminist Media Studies Research Group brings together those working in a wide range of fields at Lancaster and beyond to develop critical theoretical and methodological approaches to media and culture. Of particular interest is the ubiquity of media cultures, the shifts in media production, consumption and dissemination that new media technologies have facilitated, and new forms of political activism. Working closely with the Centre for Gender and Women’s Studies, members of the Group arrange occasional seminars and publish on issues related to feminist media and cultural studies.
