I work with Prof Kate Cain (Psychology), Dr Rebecca Killick (Statistics) and collaborators to support work of the LASeR (Literacy Acceleration through Scalable Research) consortium where we are working to map and understand the dynamics of change in young readers as they progress through a digital multicomponent reading supplement (i.e. games via reading app).
My research experience is in the application and development of methods for longitudinal and time-series data, and I have an emerging record of research collaborations in social sciences, psychology and statistics. I work with complex and large datasets (i.e. smart meter data, longitudinal population studies) and develop novel methods and R software.
Beyond research, I take pride in my active involvement in activities that make statistics and R more accessible for applied researchers. Over the past 4+ years, I have taught statistics to a variety of levels, backgrounds and disciplines (from BSc to PhD level students in economics, political science, geography and psychology).
