Research overview

 Armin Yousefi Kanani is an innovation fellow at Lancaster University. His position involves working with companies to analyse industry problems, find solutions, and to develop smart materials that improve an existing product or process performance and/or enable the development of entirely new smart material components that make possible new processes or products.

He has done his PhD at Lancaster University on the multi-material adhesive joint. His research covers a broad range of both academic and industrial interests, including multi-material joining technology for light-weighting, joint optimisation, material characterisation and property measurement, failure and damage assessment and damage tolerance of fibre reinforced composites and steel-concrete composite structures.
