Research overview

Duha is a faculty member at the Graphic Design and Digital Media Department in Princess Nourah University, Saudi Arabia. She is currently a PhD candidate in Design, LICA, researching Graphic Design and Artificial Intelligence.

Her study investigates the potential impact of AI on graphic designers, assessing how graphic designers can use AI as a ‘self-governed’ system in branding rather than an innovative application tool. The research is a speculative driven design using co-design methods to provoke and challenge how graphic designers may work with AI and brands in Saudi Arabia. A country currently undergoing a massive change and transformation programme dubbed ‘Vision 2030’, which is led by innovation focusing on the use of Artificial Intelligence as a leading technology.
