My Role

My role primarily involves supporting staff and students within LEC who wish to use GIS as part of their research, as well as teaching GIS and Remote Sensing on a range of taught undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

Research Interests

My research profile reflects the broad nature of my role and has seen the application of GIS to a wide variety of topics including climate change and epidemiology; journey-time exposure to air pollution; food security; and mobility. I am interested applied GIS especially in a global south context.

Current Teaching

I teach on the following modules:

LEC.211 Spatial Analysis and Geographic Information Systems

LEC.314 Geographic Information Systems: Principles and Practice

LEC.402 Geoinformatics

I also provide GIS support for dissertation, as well as dissertation supervision

I run indroductory training courses for staff and students across LEC
