My PhD project involves the fields of stochastic simulation and machine learning. Traditionally, simulation output analysis has provided high-level summaries of the system performance, but without revealing how or why the system behaves in a particular way. To address this, we are mainly interested in applying supervised learning algorithms to the data generated by a stochastic simulation. I am supervised by Lucy Morgan and Nicos Pavlidis at Lancaster University, and Barry Nelson at Northwestern University.
