Former Research Student

Profile

Broadly speaking, Kyriaki's research interests are in the fields of Corporate Insolvency Law and Corporate Law. She has served as an Associate Lecturer at the Law School between 2020 and 2023, teaching across a range of modules. Her Ph.D. thesis, explores the effectiveness of the current framework of English corporate insolvency law in promoting distributional justice. It provides a systematic and rigorous analysis of the perennial distributional problem on corporate insolvency, while reflecting upon the theory and operation of the rules relevant to the attainment of distributional justice. Using the work of John Rawls, the thesis establishes a framework for assessing the extent to which the treatment of creditors, secured and otherwise, is just and equitable.
