Profile

Mohamed Ghaly is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Finance at Lancaster University. He joined Lancaster in 2015 after completing his doctoral studies at the University of Manchester. His primary research interest is in the area of corporate finance. He is predominantly interested in examining how firms’ financing and investment choices relate to their strategic behavior in labor and product markets. His current research examines the role that human capital plays in shaping firms’ financing decisions. Other research interests include corporate governance and innovation.

 

Research Interests

Corporate finance and its intersection with labor economics and industrial organization, non-financial stakeholders, corporate governance (boards, shareholder activism, executive compensation), innovation.
