Current Research

I am a Lecturer in Young People's Health Inequalities and a Research Fellow with specialism in gender, sexualities and youth, specifically in the topic areas of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and mental health. I am currently leading an ESRC funded secondary data analysis project building on the Queer Futures 2 project: designed to understand the best types of mental health support for LGBTQ+ young people, which I worked on until completion in 2023.

Research Interests

I am primarily a qualitative researcher interested in sexualities, gender and sexual health including sexual pleasure. I value the use of creative and participatory methods in research, particularly visual methods and historical approaches including the use of life histories and archival research. I am also active in arts based and community collaborations and keen to apply research -knowledge and practices- in ways that can support grassroots  creative and social support for health.
