Research overview

I work with Dr Viktor Tsepelin in the Ultra Low Temperature Group where I am currently working on developing our understanding acoustic emission of oscillators in helium-3. I am interested in studying quantum turbulence in both superfluid helium-3 and helium-4 at low temperatures.  I have also developed multifrequency oscillator techniques to study helium liquids and have recently used a nanobeam to study to catch a single quantum vortex in low temperature helium-4. Previously in my PhD I have used quasiparticles in superfluid helium-3 to image quantum turbulence by using quasiparticle camera made up of 25 tuning forks.
