Research Interests

The main area of my work has been focused on the two extremes of flood and drought: work on the social dimensions of flood recovery and dynamics of domestic water demand. My research has been funded by combinations of research council, local and national government and private sector funding. The common theme to the research is understanding how resilience is manifest in the relationship between everyday life and the governance of socio-technical infrastructure.
