N2 - The influence of noise on the Lorenz model has been studied in parameter ranges where it is characterized by pairs of nonsymmetrical periodic attractors. The investigations, based on electronic analog and digital techniques, have shown that the noise can give rise to pronounced zero-frequency peaks of complicated shape and to chaos.
