Abstract

We report the first observations of the storage of ultra-cold neutrons (UCN) in liquid Helium at temperatures approaching 1K. While the experimental results are such as to preclude a detailed comparison with theory we have demonstrated that UCN are actuallv stored in liquid Helium and our results are consistent with theoretical expectations.
