Driven by our vision, The Library Towards 2025, this presentation highlights Lancaster University Library’s evolution from service provider to research and education partner, the shift in its culture and the opportunities and challenges of its resultant expanding remit. It highlights some of the library’s transformational projects relating to the digital humanities, generative AI, curriculum transformation and open science and a summary of the skills/roles required to deliver them. It discusses the challenges in supporting a broader, more diverse, and more ambitious portfolio without compromising on the quality of its core services.
