Tim Leonard

Professional Role

I can help students and researchers in the Faculty of Science and Technology develop their information skills and make effective use of library resources. I can help with literature searching, databases and information sources in the sciences and reference management using Endnote.

I teach on a number of FST programmes and am happy to provide one-to-one consultations, as well as support to distance learners.

I like to work with academics in FST to embed opportunities for the development of information and digital literacies on their programmes. My interests include theory and innovative practice in information literacy, technology-enhanced learning and critical pedagogy.

I manage the Library's Learning Zone Student Team and have a role in coordinating the range of learning development opportunities that take place in the Learning Zone.

I hold a postgraduate qualification in Information Management and am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I blog on library and technology enhanced learning issues at timjpleonard.wordpress.com and tweet @TimJPLeonard.I am one of the Library's UCU representatives.

See the Lancaster UCU site for more details on UCU and the work of the local branch.
