Press/Media: Research

Description

A recently completed piece of research funded by Help the Aged and undertaken by the Applied Social Science Unit for Research and Evaluation (ASSURE) has highlighted a lack of services for those over the age of 60. It was found that for example a lack of bereavement counselling resulted in increased alcohol consumption and social isolation amongst this age group. Following the report by ASSURE, Help the Agedwill be reviewing their services.
