This dataset encompasses substitution rate analyses for viral families from P to Z, forming the final segment of a comprehensive taxonomic study of viral evolution. Following confirmation of temporal signal, each dataset was processed through BEAST to model evolutionary rates. The archive includes input alignments, XML configuration files, log and tree outputs, and spreadsheets of substitution rate results. These analyses were used to assess whether viral taxa at the later part of the alphabet exhibit comparable or divergent tempo patterns, further informing whether substitution rate correlates with taxonomy.
