I am interested in the sources, occurrence and fate of plasticisers and microplastics in the environment.

The properties of plastics are determined by various additives, including chemicals known as plasticisers. The effects of these plasticisers on ecosystems are not well constrained and given the widespread presence of plastic pollution in the environment these additives may represent a significant anthropogenic input to ecosystems. My research aims to investigate the sources, spatial distribution and environmental fate of legacy (phthalate) and emerging plasticisers.
