I am an AHRC-funded PhD student in the English Literature Department at Lancaster. My thesis, titled 'Women, waives, and Long Meg of Westminster: towards a premodern homo sacer', critically examines the biopolitical status of the outlawed woman, (otherwise known as the waive), and how she might be traced textually through the figure Long Meg of Westminster.
I am also interested in material culture, archives and libraries, feminist theory and music.
