Research overview

Christina Bremer is a postdoctoral researcher in the Socio-Digital Sustainability group, where she is working on Net0Insights, a multi-disciplinary project led by researchers at Lancaster University working alongside major industry partners. As part of the project, she is developing and designing digital tools that help reduce energy consumption.

Christina’s PhD research explored the energy-saving potential of digital behaviour change and efficiency interventions, taking into account technical factors, user behaviour and higher-level dynamics, such as rebound effects. More generally, Christina's research aims to holistically address the environmental and societal impacts of digital technologies.

Before joining Lancaster University, Christina completed a BSc (Hons) Cognitive Science at the University of Edinburgh and an MSSc Human-Computer Interaction at Uppsala University.
