I am interested in supervising Ph.D. students in any area of theoretical and applied econometrics. I am happy to help students across a broad range of empirical and theoretical aspects on micro-econometric applications.

Profile

Byunghoon Kang (David) is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Lancaster University since 2016. He received his Ph.D. in Economics at University of Wisconsin - Madison (USA). Before Madison, he earned an M.A. in Economics at Seoul National University and a B.S. in Mathematics at the KAIST (South Korea). His research interests include econometrics, applied econometrics.

Research Interests

Econometric Theory, Applied Econometrics;

Nonparametric series/sieves estimation, Tuning parameter choice in non/semiparametric estimation, Instrument (moment) selection in IV and GMM models, Post-model selection inference.
