My areas of interest revolve mainly around experiential learning, action learning, management education and knowledge management in higher educational institutions.
Before joining Lancaster University Management School as a full-time PhD student, I was afilliated with the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan in the capacity of Assistant Professor at their Department of Management Sciences. Besides teaching full time at CIIT, I was also appointed as interim-Incharge of the Center for Policy Studies. I started my academic career as a research associate in 2006 with CIIT. I was then appointed as Lecturer in 2007 where I assumed the role of a full-time faculty member.
I am a results-driven individual with multifaceted academic and management experiences including: teaching, research, consultancy, programme management, project and event management. During this course of gaining a broad spectrum of experiences, I have been able to develop qualitative and quantitative skills, equipping me with the ability to think analytically and critically self-reflect on various phenomenon pertaining to my field i.e. management learning.
My current teaching responsibilities include teaching an undergraduate course, entitled 'MNGT 200 Management and Consulting: Practice and Critique' along with Dr. Valerie Stead.
I am currently working on methods to employ action learning sets with MBA students to enhance their ability to critically self-reflect on the learning process within business schools of Pakistan.
