Dr Gearoid O Cuinn

Research overview

Dr Ó Cuinn's research focuses on public international law, human rights and public health governance. He also has a strong interest in the sociology of human rights law and practice. Gearóid's received his doctorate from University of Nottingham where examined the governance of pandemic influenza with support from the Wellcome Trust. He has active links with the legal profession and is interested clinical legal education and the use of technologies in pro-bono legal workGearóid is director of GLAN (Global Legal Action Network) a non-profit organisation that pursues collaborative legal actions to protect and promote human rights internationally. 

PhD supervision

Dr Ó Cuinn will consider PhD proposals in the fields of public international law, human rights and global health governance.
