Gil Viry is post-doctoral fellow at department of sociology at Lancaster University. He obtained a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. His fields of research are: links between spatial mobility and family, social and family networks, spatial mobility over the life course.
His research at Lancaster University falls into two areas: (1) ways individual practices of spatial mobility are experienced over the family life course; (2) changes in family networks in relation to spatial mobility trajectories.
