Hamza Annath is an Innovation Fellow (Chemical Sciences) at Lancaster University. His role involves working closely with regional chemical SMEs, helping for product developments, technical problem solving, and improving their existing products or processes. Hamza is a team member of the ERDF funded GISMO project.

Hamza has a PhD in material chemistry (catalysis) form the University of Manipal, India. He has 14 years of research and product development experience, working in both industrial and academic organizations. His specific expertise involves heterogeneous catalysts, adsorbents, zeolites, porous materials, metal-organic framework, carbon capture, powder technology and shaping, material characterization, and performance testing. He has immensely contributed to the development, scaling up and commercialization of various adsorbents and catalyst products during his industrial jobs.
