Research overview

I am currently working in irrigation techniques to optimize crop production saving water. I am interested in physiological plant responses to water stress, especially in root-to-shoot signalling, applied to the development of the above mentioned irrigation techniques. I am also interested in the use of soil moisture sensors for irrigation scheduling. In the past, I have been working in  responses of woody seedlings to water stress after transplanting in forest restoration actions under dry Mediterranean conditions. I have also got expertise in Mediterranean woody seedling culture in forest nurseries.
